Terms and Conditions:
For English Courses, Study Vacation, Winter Study Vacation
- All bookings must be confirmed in writing, and accompanied by a deposit of 30% of the full amount, completed booking form and two passport photographs.
- The full amount of the balance payable for every individual and group booking must reach UK Educational Development Agency (herein after referred to the UKEDA)a full 45 days before the arrival of the group. UKEDA reserves the right to impose a levy of 3% after 38 days and for each 38 days or part of thereafter.
- UKEDA reserves the right to change the course without notice or change to the dates, prices and conditions on all published material.
4. All prices given in our manual are gross, and based on tariffs, rates and taxes currently in force unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to make any necessary adjustments to these prices arising from any price variation whatsoever, any change in exchange rates to the €uro arising after 1st January 2009, any increase or seasonal supplements, at any time, until the service is rendered.
- Payment may be made by Bank Draft in €uro or Sterling to UKEDA address or by Credit Transfer in €uro or Sterling directly to our bank.
Please note that all bank charges must be covered by the client when sending a bank transfer and a charge of 3.5% will apply to all credit card payments.
- Students are expected to attend classes regularly and on time. If any student is late, absent or leaves their class early then they forfeit their tuition.
- Students on long term programmes of 26 weeks or more may take a holiday break without losing their course fee, provided 4 weeks notice is given. This does not include examination courses.
- Bookings may be cancelled up to 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course without penalty (other than non-refundable deposit). For cancellations received between 28 and 38 days before commencement of the course, 60% of the full amount will be refunded. For cancellations received between 16 and 28 days before commencement of the course, 30% of the full amount will be refunded. There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced. This includes late arrival, early departures or missing days during the course. Bookings are not transferable, i.e. they are specific to dates, courses and applicant.
- Students who temporarily leave their host family accommodation for one week or more during the course are charged a €75 per week retainer fee. At least one week’s notice is to be given.
- Students who wish to remain in their homestay during the Christmas break will be charged a supplement of €75 per week.
- Students who change from homestay to apartment accommodation will not be refunded the difference in price.
- UKEDA Does not assume any liability for loss, delay or accident of any kind whatsoever which might occur due to fault or negligence of any company, hotel proprietor or any other persons engaged in carrying out the arrangements. We act as agents only for the transportation companies, hotels, student residences and other principals and do not accept responsibility or liability for any variations in arrangements ordered. All contracts are subject to English law.
- Shared and residential accommodation is provided by a 3rd party and UKEDA does not assume any liability for loss, delay or accident of any kind whatsoever which might occur due to fault and negligence during the client’s stay at the above mentioned accommodation. UKEDA acts only as an intermediary.
- All operators working with UKEDA will be deemed to have agreed to these conditions without variations once they have booked services and submitted the deposit.
- All students should take out full insurance cover prior to coming to UK or Ireland and EU nationals should bring medical form E1.11 with them.
- Visas are not required of EU nationals. If you are coming from a non-EU country, you should apply to your nearest British/Irish Embassy for your student / visitor visa. We will send you a letter of acceptance for your course that you may submit to the British/Irish Embassy along with the relevant documentation.
