Summer School with Residential Accommodation at University of Stirling
Summer Camp in Stirling, a charming city located in central Scotland. At the centre of its historic old town, the stunning Stirling Castle sits atop a craggy volcanic rock. Nearby, on the Abbey Craig outcrop, the National Wallace Monument stands as a magnificent 19th-century tower. Our junior English summer courses in Stirling are thoughtfully crafted for young learners aged 11 to 18 years. These courses provide a fantastic opportunity for students to enhance their English language skills in a lively and enjoyable setting. Participants will experience a comprehensive programme featuring interactive lessons, cultural activities, and exciting excursions throughout the vibrant city of Stirling. Residential English Summer Courses for International Students
Location
Airports: Glasgow Airport – 40 mins*; Edinburgh Airport – 45 mins**. Groups are met at the airport by a staff member who will escort them back to the campus.
Facilities
Indoor and outdoor spaces for interactive activities including conversation classes, international evenings, discos and more. Sports: The residences complex offers outdoor pool, table tennis and a patio. There are large fields which can be used for sports. Other: Residences include a television room, lounge area and football tables.
Accommodation
Residence: Single ensuite room.
Local Transport
Public Transport: Tickets are provided for all journeys.
Internet
Wi-Fi internet is available across campus including in halls of residences. Please refer to your Centre Manager for Wi-Fi access codes.
Academics
Average students per class: 16. English levels: Elementary - Proficiency (programme can be adjusted to lower English levels). Additional qualifications available: Trinity GESE exam and PCTO programme
Security
There is 24 hour security. No safes in the bedrooms. The Centre Manager has a safe in their office for Group Leaders to store money/passports securely. An access fob, a key and lanyard are supplied to students.
Laundry
There is a laundry room located on site. Card system used. Cards can be purchased from the Loring Management Centre. All of the laundry facilities are self-service. Open: 9.00 - 21.00. Bed linen will be washed once a week by the University laundry.
Meal
Breakfast: 07:00 - 08:45. Toast, cereal, pastry, yogurt, fruit. Cooked breakfast once a week. Lunch: 12:30 - 13:45. Pasta, meat or vegetarian main course with potatoes, vegetables, salad and dessert. Dinner: 17:00 - 190:00. Meat or vegetarian main course with potatoes, vegetables, salad and dessert.
