About
The school is located just a few metres from the harbour, nearby shops, cafes, restaurants, international marina and ferries. It has 12 classrooms, a courtyard garden, a social area for students with drinks and snack vending machine. Students can study part-time or intensive English which can focus on a different aspect of the language.
The school organizes a variety of activities and excursions for the students in the afternoons. Some activities are organized directly by the school, some through carefully chosen guides or partners. The cost is student-friendly. During the weekend there are various excursions to famous cities such as Cardiff, Bath, Bristol or to more local attractions and towns in Devon or Cornwall. Torquay itself offers many sporting activities like swimming, sailing, canoeing, tennis and horse riding. Students wishing to explore the sights around can visit nearby caves – Kent cavern or model Village Babbacombe.

English Language Courses
General English
General English is aimed at developing all four students’ English language skills - writing, speaking, grammar and listening. It is suitable for students at any level from A2 (pre-intermediate) to C2 (proficiency). The lessons are adapted according to the level of students and contribute to not only improving grammar and vocabulary but allowing students interaction and communication within class.
Academic English
English for Examinations is an intensive preparation for the Cambridge English exams, TOEFL or IELTS. These official exams are necessary for students who want to apply for studying at higher education institutions or progress their career in professional associations, and private employers.
Professional English
Business and Professional English is aimed at the English that you need for your work. It focuses on developing your language and communication skills to help you further your career. We do offer many courses on demand such as English for Law, Medical English, English for IT etc.
One-to-One
One-to-one tuition is suitable for students who wish to focus on a specific area of English with a teacher who will personalize the lesson according to the students’ needs. This is the best way to to improve your language skills in a short time.

Excursions and after School Activities
The school organises a social programme with various activities and excursions, some free, some at extra cost. They are a great opportunity to socialise with classmates, practise the language and visit new places. Activities usually include quizzes, movie night, cultural evenings such as Pub night or music. Students can join excursions to local attractions, park or a museum, or longer day trips to other cities on weekends. Afterschool activities enhance the overall study experience of the students.

Homestay
This option is great if you want to live in a family environment, possibly in a quieter residential area but with easy access to the school or attractions. This way you will experience a family life and get to know about the other culture and habits. Most hosts offer an option to stay with them on half board so you will return home for the dinner and share the meal with the host. It allows you to practice your speaking skills and socialize at the same time. The families enjoy welcoming students in their homes.
